I thought I would start by sharing one of the boys "magical moments" from the winter. They got some new "sleds" for Christmas and were so excited to try them out. There was a big winter thaw while we were travelling and when we returned home their plans were foiled! So, the boys eagerly (yet impressively patiently) awaited their sledding runs until the next snowfall. A short time later there was just enough freshly fallen snow to pull out the sleds and I could deny them no longer. So, 2 broadly smiling boys zoomed down the front yard hill. Watching their excitement was just priceless. Being the photo-focused mom that I am, I made them pose at the top of the hill before they could take another run. Thanks for obliging me, my precious ones.
As much as I enjoy watching the kids in action, I also can appreciate the still and quiet nature that God creates. I am occasionally able to steal a moment of the day to stare in awe of natural beauty. This week I was thankful to see some of God's creativity on surrounding trees. There was a dense fog and when it had lifted it left behind a magical moment of His loveliness for me to enjoy. I must have pointed it out a dozen times during the day. Perhaps my kids were tired of hearing me tell them to look at the trees, but it was just breathtaking. Dano is not one to be too overwhelmed by nature, and even he noticed the unique tree coverings. Here are 4 photos to share what I mean. These are ice crystals, not snow. I wish I spent a bit more time to get the focus that I wanted, but an unfocused glimpse is better than no photos at all.
I'd love to hear of your magical winter moments too!
Post 2 from a blooming emblazon.
